Age Concern Dudley
A very well attended Spring Fair was held recently at the Savoy Centre in Netherton. The event was organised by Age Concern and raised valuable funds for their organisation as well as supporting other local groups such as the Netherton Primary School in their fundraising efforts. Local people were able to access a wide range of stalls selling allsorts from bric-a-brac to cakes and other local produce.
The event was one of several planned by Age Concern Dudley to take place at the centre and followed on from their Christmas party which saw some 60 or so older people
fed and entertained there.
'The day was a great success for us and highlighted our partnership working with the Savoy Centre to achieve the regeneration of the area and offer our older citizens an opportunity to enjoy themselves in an excellent community facility' said Brian Phillips of Age Concern.
The Savoy Centre is managed by Black Country Housing's Community Regeneration Department in partnership with Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and funded through Advantage West Midlands. .......Back
